Charles & Marie rip-off Artefacture slogans

Thanks to a few eyewitnesses at the just-passed New York International Gift Show, we were tipped off to the unauthorized use of our slogans by Charles and Marie, which is typically a respectable blog/shop covering lifestyle and design topics. They've put our slogans I Will Pay for Good design and Design Will Save the World on bags and stickers that they're distributing from their booths at tradeshows such as last Spring's Milan Designweek, NYIGS, and would be wise not to at next week's Maison et Objet in Paris. They'll tell you that they're working with us, but that is untrue. If you see them at these shows please do not accept their copied offerings. Stand by and support the true innovators of these timeless slogans. Thanks.

Flattering, but permission would be nice:

The fact of the matter is that this was an original, creative work which was used on our t-shirts for over 3 years...it has become synonymous with our company and brand. People should respect that and the creative act itself - especially when those people are involved with designers and artists, and where creativity makes new products and business go round.

Also even though we like the Dostoyevsky quote, our slogan has nothing to do with it nor is it a derivative of....COME UP WITH YOUR OWN IDEAS!

Free culture is one thing, but to lie and say you are working with them after ripping off their slogans is just in bad taste. Come up with your own slogans for Christ sake.

Isn't the original line 'beauty will save the world' by Dostoyevsky?
